Goa Forward Party Working President Kiran Kandolkar, speaking to reporters, stated that “time and again Goa Forward Party has shown beyond doubt that the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant’s performance is zero and worthless”. Kandolkar pointed to the recent Assembly session and said it was itself proof for the people of Goa that the “BJP led government of Pramod Sawant has no intention to do anything right.”
Kiran accused the Chief Minister and his ministers of repeatedly shirking from answering key questions tabled on the floor of the House by the Fatorda MLA and GFP President Vijai Sardesai. Kandolkar said, “the people have seen how the government was in hiding by not replying to the questions raised by our party president over coal block, COVID-19 and employment issues of the state.”
Kandolkar hit out against the Chief Minster’s performance saying that “the people are fed up and tired of his reckless, apathetic attitude towards Goa. During my travels through the state, numerous citizens, especially from North Goa, have complained about the pathetic state of roads and other infrastructure which makes it difficult to take up simple everyday tasks.” Kiran added: “Pramod Sawant is day by day making Goa an embarrassment, and it’s time for him to vacate his position” Kandolkar asserted that “the Team Goa united coalition is the only way forward to save Goa from the BJP.”
The GFP Working President slammed the CM and the government for imposing Section 144 during the religious occasions of Holi, Good Friday and Easter, while not imposing any restrictions on night clubs and parties . “Pramod Sawant has no respect for Goan traditions and religious practices, and is hell-bent on making Goa a sin city. Goemkars have never been so disrespected and insulted like they are today under this chief minister.
Kiran Kandolkar urged voters to vote against BJP backed panels in the upcoming municipal polls in Margao, Quepem, Mapusa , Mormugao and Sanguem . He said “the BJP offers no transparency, development or support but only trouble, lies, and destruction.”
