Goa Experts’ committee gives go ahead for finals of ISL with hundred per cent seating capacity

Panaji: Goa government’s Experts’ Committee on COVID-19 has given its go ahead for the final of ISL match at Jawarhalal Nehru Stadium with hundred per cent seating capacity.

The committee of experts including the medical professionals on Thursday met in Goa Medical College and Hospital to discuss the proposal to allow the final match of ISL with hundred per cent capacity at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium, Fatorda in South Goa. The meeting was chaired by Dean of GMCH Dr Shivanand Bandekar.

“The committee has given go ahead for the final match with hundred per cent capacity considering the COVID-19 situation in the state,” Bandekar told reporters after the meeting.

He said that the entry into the stadium for the final match would be restricted only to those spectators who have taken both the doses of COVID-19 vaccine or carries Covid negative certificate.

The ISL final will be played between Kerala Blasters and Hyderabad FC on March 20.
