Panaji: The monsoon session of Goa Legislative Assembly would be held from July 11 onwards, Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar told reporters.
Tawadkar said that the exact number of days of the monsoon session are yet to be decided but “it would be a lengthy session.”
“We want to have a lengthy session so that all the MLAs will get proper time to speak on the floor of the House,” he said adding that the number of days would be decided soon.
The Speaker said that since 19 out of 40 MLAs are first-timers in the Assembly, a special training has been organised for them on June 7-8 in Panaji.
Pune-based Rambhau Mhalgi Prabhodini will be training the first time legislators, he said.
