Panaji: Goa government has announced seven days mourning on the demise of former President Pranab Mukherjee.
Secretary General Administration Amit Satija, in a notification issued on Monday evening, said that Government of Goa expresses profound sorrow on the sad demise of Pranab Mukherjee, former President of India.
“As a mark of respect to the departed dignitary, seven days, state mourning will be observed throughout the state of Goa from August 31 to September 06, 2020, both days inclusive,” he said.
“During the period of State mourning,the National Flag will fly at Half Mast on all the buildings throughout the state of Goa where it is regularly flown and there will be no official entertainment,” he added.
