Pernem Police have registered an FIR against one person for abusing, assaulting and snatching away a chain of a traffic marshal at Mopa Airport site.
As per PI Jivba Dalvi a complaint was received from one Keshav Shetye R/o Varkhand Pernem Goa complaining that Swapnil Parab R/o Varkhand came at Mopa Airport site in a tinted car and parked it blocking the road. When he was requested to move his car he abused, assaulted and threatened the traffic marshal with dire consequences. Also he snatched away of the chain wore by the complainant.
Acccused Swapnil Parab is an active criminal and has many serious crimes registered against him at Pernem Police Station, Porvorim Police Station, Ponda Police Station and Mapusa Police Station.
Police have attached the tinted car bearing reg no GA 11 A 4761 of make Maruti Swift which was kept hidden in Varkhand area.
An offence under section 504, 356, 379, 506(ii) IPC has been registered. All efforts are in progress to trace the accused person.
