The Dhangar Committee of Dharbandora Taluka successfully conducted its elections on 26th January 2025, utilizing a ballot system. Out of 230 registered life members, 148 cast their votes, showcasing active participation in the democratic process.
For the prestigious President’s post, it was a close contest between Gangaram shelke from Palaskata, who secured 48 votes, and Dhuloba Patkare, who emerged victorious with an impressive tally of 98 votes. Two votes were deemed invalid due to errors. Dhuloba Patkare, a well-known and successful businessman, is widely respected for his humble and down-to-earth nature, making him a popular choice among the members.
In addition to the President’s post, elections were conducted for two key positions, while the remaining committee members were elected unopposed.
The election event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including respected community leaders and former committee members, who extended their best wishes to the newly elected team.
The newly elected committee has pledged to work towards the welfare and progress of the community, ensuring a bright future for the Dhangar community of Dharbandora.
