Panaji: Nine people who were tested positive for COVID-19 infection in Goa have recovered on Tuesday, reducing the total tally of active patients to 39.
State Health Department official said that nine COVID-19 active patients which were admitted in ESI Hospital has been recovered. The state also witnessed no new positive case during the day on Tuesday, he said.
The official said that all the nine patients have been discharged from the hospital and taken to a quarantine facility where their health would be monitored for next 14 days.
With this, the total number of active cases are reduced to 39, while number of positive cases reported in the state remains at 67.
Till date, 28 people have recovered after being treated at ESI hospital, a designated hospital to treat coronavirus infected patients.
On Tuesday, 565 samples were tested of which 536 were tested negative while reports of 29 are still awaited.
