Panaji: Goa Forward Party on Monday demanded that the state government should form inter-departmental cum inter-disciplinary task force to implement preventive, containment, remedial measures in the wake of Coronavirus outbreak in the country.
GFP chief Vijai Sardesai on Monday welcomed the measures taken by State government in the form of continuing Janata Curfew to avoid spread of Coronavirus.
“It’s short term pain for the sake of long term gain,” he said speaking about the current restrictions imposed in the state.
Sardesai said that the state government should work on two-fold strategy under the current circumstances.
He appealed the government to form an inter-departmental cum inter-disciplinary task force under the Chief Secretary to implement PCR (Preventive-Containment-Remedial) measures in the state.
Sardesai also suggested the formation of Covid fund (Care of Vulnerable and in distress fund) under the chief minister to mitigate and economic fall out on the poor, vulnerable and small and medium businesses.
