Panaji: Goa’s coronavirus caseload went up by 79 and reached 55,291 on Friday , a health department official said.
The death toll touched 799 as onw of the patients succumbed to the infection during the day, he said.
The number of recovered patients in the state rose to 53,817 with 42 of them getting discharged on Friday. The number of active cases is now 675, the official said.
“With 1,607 new tests, the total number of tests conducted in the state has gone up to 5,00,978,” he added.
