COVID-19: 71 new cases, two deaths

Panaji: Goa’s coronavirus caseload went up by 71 and reached 54,771 on Thursday, a health department official said.

The death toll mounted to  791 as two of the patients succumbed to the infection during the day, he said.

The number of recovered patients in the state rose to 53,449 with 33 of them getting discharged on Thursday. The number of active cases is now 531, the official said.

“With 1,632 new tests, the total number of tests conducted in the state has gone up to 4,88,742,” he added.
