Margao: The congress party in Goa hold demonstrations on Friday against government’s decision to hold JEE-NEET examinations, as a part of their nationwide protest.
Goa Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary Subhash Faldesai, in a press note released, has said that the party will join All India Congress Committee’s nationwide protest to support demands of students preparing for JEE-NEET to postpone exams due to Covid19 crisis with no proper transport and lodging facilities.
The party workers will be protesting on Friday at 4 p.m. in front of Income Tax Office in Margao town of South Goa by maintaining social distancing.
“ It may be recalled that AICC President Smt. Sonia Gandhi has consulted 7 Opposition Party Chief Ministers of various states who are also supporting the cause of the students,” he said.
Faldesai said that on the same issue INC Social Media team has decided to launch massive online campaign #SpeakUpForStudentsSafety from 10 am onwards on Friday to support the students demand to postpone exams.
