Panaji: Leader of Opposition Diagmber Kamat today said that the party’s legal team is examining the consent letter granted by Central government to Karnataka’s Kalasa-Bhandura project off River Mhadei.
Kamat said that following advice from the legal team, the party will take call on whether to challenge the consent before Supreme Court or National Green Tribunal (NGT).

Kamat had earlier urged Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to call for special one-day assembly session to discuss on Mhadei issue. He even demanded that an all party delegation be taken to Delhi seeking immediate withdrawal of the consent.
CM, ha, however, ruled out possibility of holding special assembly session.
