Panaji: Congress party today charged that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant was well aware about the Mhadei “conspiracy” being worked out against State interest.
The party has decided to launch taluka-wise agitation from tomorrow to create awareness amongst people about importance of Mhadei river and consequences, if the water is diverted.
Speaking to reporters, GPCC President Girish Chodankar said that Chief Minister was aware about the decision of Central government to grant consent to Karnataka’s Kalasa-Bhandura project. “CM was very much taken into confidence as both at the Centre and in Karnataka, BJP is in power,” he charged.
Meanwhile, party will launch its demonstration from Pernem taluka tomorrow.
