Congress seeks CM’s Action Taken Report on 24 core issues

Panaji: The Congress party in Goa on Wednesday placed before CM Dr Pramod Sawant, total 24 core issues of the state, challenging him to give Action Taken Report on them within eight days.
Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Amit Patkar addressing a press conference termed Sawant-led State government as “insensitive, irresponsible and corrupt.”
He said that the Congress party is placing 24 core issues before the chief minister. “We challenge him to give Action Taken Report on the same in next eight days,” he said.
Patkar was flanked by South Goa MP Fransisco Sardinha for the press conference.
Patkar said that the Sawant will have to respond to the issue like Corruption in the government, failure to resume Iron ore mining activity, Mhadei river diversion, three linear projects allegedly violating environmental norms, IIT campus in SouthGoa in the green field, Film City at Canacona and others.
He said that the Congress party is all set to win on both the parliamentary seats in Goa.
When asked about AAP’s announcement on the candidate for South Goa seat, Patkar said that INDIA Alliance is still yet to decide the candidate.
“We have eight aspirants each from North and South Goa from Congress party itself. AAP has shortlisted Venzy Viegas. The final candidate will be decided after the INDIA alliance meeting in Delhi,” he said.
