Congress MLAs to hold meeting with tourist taxi operators tomorrow

Panaji: Congress Legislative Party (CLP) will hold a meeting with tourist taxi operators on Thursday to listen to their grievances with regards to their opposition to Goa Miles app based taxi service introduced by the government.
CLP chief Chandrakant Kavlekar said that Goan taxi operators are presently agitating over
GoaMiles app based taxi service and that government need to understand the issue in order to come out with solution on the growing unrest in the Goan taxi operators.
“The opposition party MLAs are ready to cooperate with government to resolve this issue amicably,” he said.
Kavlekar said that to put up the matter before government his party will first get it understand all sides of the taxi issue.
“As Goan taxi operators are worried about their livelihood, it is our duty to hold talks with them. I have, therefore, invited office bearers of North and South Goa Taxi unions for discussion in which operators will highlight their grievances,” he said.
All the Congress MLAs will also be present at this meeting to know the exact cause of taxi issue. The meeting will be held at 4.00 pm in the Conference Room of Office Chamber of Leader of Opposition.

  1. #SCAMgress has to do opposite of what the BJP wants. they will patronize the goons for votes as they have all along been doing. #Churchill family, it seems are all #Portuguese nationals with no skin in the game, inciting the goons for vote. How can Goa get better?
