Panaji: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) on Wednesday, alleging that the Mormugao Planning and Development Association (MPDA) is misguiding people and using the Supreme Court card to put fear on builders lobby, demanded NOC for the people.
“We have no issue on radius , we just want that local people should get NOC within a month,” GPCC Vice President Sankalp Amonkar said on Wednesday.
Amonkar on Wednesday submitted a memorandum to the MPDA with a CC marked to Civil Aviation minister, Naval FOGA and other while demanding that NOC to common people should be issued by MPDA in 30 days.
Amonkar said that MPDA lawyers in the High court has given in written that they will abide by Navy color code and hence MPDA could not stand in Supreme Court.
Amonkar said that MPDA was trying to use the supreme Court card to put a fear in the minds of builder lobby for ulterior motives
Amonkar said that the Congress was not concerned of the MPDA issues with Navy but demanded that locals who had invested all the money in the houses and plots around the airport should be issued the NOC within 30 days.
