Panaji: BJP’s Goa Unit President  Vinay Tendulkar said that Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar will rest for two days before starting to meet the party office bearers and government officers.

Tendulkar made the statement after attending the meeting of BJP Goa Legislature Party in the city on Monday afternoon.

“CM is recovering now. He will take rest for two days before meeting the party office bearers and the government officers,” Tendulkar said.

The BJP Goa President along with party’s state General Secretary Sadanand Tanavade had met Parrikar on Monday.

When asked about leadership change, he shot back “why do you need leadership change? CM is for five years.”

Tendulkar said that during the BJP legislative party meeting on Monday, it was decided that the ministers will meet the voters at least once a week.

“They will also tour in the assembly constituencies where BJP has no representation in the House,” he said.

Earlier, Chief Minister’s office had issued a statement claiming that Parrikar would rest for a week.

“CM Manohar Parrikar’s condition has improved further. He had a chat with his family members today morning,” read the statement issued by Rupesh Kamat, Personal Secretary to the CM.

“Doctors have adviced him to take rest for a week’s time,” he said.
