Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday put up his COVID-19 positive test report on social media to reply to the allegations of Congress that he had got himself tested at a private hospital.
Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Girish Chodankar on Friday had tweeted questioning where Sawant had got his test done on September 02, in which he was found asymptomatic positive for coronavirus infection.
Chodankar had also asked whether he has no trust over his Health Minister Vishwajit Rane.
Responding to the tweet by Chodankar, Sawant uploaded his report on his personal twitter handle.
“Constant lies being peddled. Don’t we have something better to do in his phase of pandemic? To set the record straight, I have got myself tested for COVID at a Government Hospital. Can Girish bab stop wasting time on making such silly accusation and start working for Goa?,” the Chief Minister tweeted.
The 47-year-old Chief Minister had got himself tested at District Hospital in Mapusa (North Goa).
Earlier during the day, Chodankar had tweeted “Goa wants to know where was #CovidTest of @goacm done? What made him go to Pvt Hospital instead of GMC or @GovtofGoa Testing centres? @DrPramodPSawant tula @visrane bharausa naai kaai? Hope File Sanitising Method of @visrane will not sensationalise the administration.”
