Panaji: Goa chief minister Dr Pramod Sawant has cut down the size of his convoy from six vehicles to three, including his car, following austerity measures adopted by PM Narendra Modi, at the backdrop of global crisis.
Chief minister’s office told GNH on Thursday said that the convoy size has been reduced to three vehicles including the one in which CM travels.
The official said that earlier, the CM used to have a convoy of six vehicles, including his car, that used to accompany him. “Following austerity measures adopted by the PM, the chief minister has asked for the reduction of the vehicles,” the official said.
The chief minister will now have only two vehicles escorting him from rear and the front during his travel, he said.
