Panaji: Chief minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Monday said that all the citizens should follow the message of PM Narendra Modi, who has suggested certain restraints due to the current global crisis.

The Prime Minister on Sunday while addressing a meeting in Bengaluru had appealed to Indians to revive working from home, buy less gold and limit foreign travel to deal with a surge in global energy prices because of the continuing crisis in the Middle East.

Talking to reporters in Panaji, the chief minister said that the PM has given a message to the people, which is clear. “There are two wars going on in the world. We all have to keep control on certain things,” Sawant said.

The chief minister said that the PM has spoken about the usage of petrol and buying of the gold. “PM has asked to follow restrain and it is for us to follow his message. All the citizens should follow his message,” he stated.

The chief minister said that the future cannot be predicted considering the prevailing crisis. He said that the current situation is of “wait and watch.”

“When PM has made this statement, he must have thought about the relation with other countries and other aspects. I appeal all the Goans to follow the message of the PM,” he commented.
