Goa: The Hindu households across the State today worshipped Lord Ganesh Idols as Ganesh Chaturthi festivities began.
Traditional pujas were conducted since morning in the Homes where the family members gather.
This is the time for reverse migration as the cities are abandoned and people go back to their native to usher in the festivities.
While majority of the households immerse Ganesh Idols after two days, some keep it for five days.
Larger than life size of Ganesh Idols are also set up at Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandals across the State.
State Police have already issued advisory to the people to avoid their homes being broken in by thieves. Also from security point of view, various guidelines are issued by police.
