Sankhalim: On Tuesday morning, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant waded through water to reach the villagers of Sankhalim and Amona who were stranded due to flooding.
Sawant went around the low lying flooded areas which have been inundated due to heavy rains that the state has been witnessing. He even visited pumping station of water resources department.
Locals claim that the flooding has happened as water from Anjunem dam has been released as the reservoir has crossed the danger mark due to heavy rains upstream.
