Panaji: Corporation of City of Panaji Mayor Uday Madkaikar on Wednesday said that the corporation will meet before March 31 to decide on its earlier resolution of not renewing trade licences of off-shore casinos vessels.

Madkaikar said that several traders in the city have approached the corporation with the request to allow casinos to operate, as it is the only source of business during late evening.

The Mayor said that the decision not to renew the trade licences  of off shore casinos was “in principle” in nature and it needs to be ratified before implementing it.

Madkaikar said that corporation will also seek legal opinion before coming down to any decision in this matter.
