CCP issues new COVID19 Protocols for Cremation

Panaji : The Mayor of Corporation of the City of Panaji, Rohit Monserrate has issued COVID19 Cremation protocol with regard to the amount charged at Panaji Hindu Crematorium.
CCP shall not charge any amount for use of hearse van within the jurisdiction of Panaji City for COVID19 death. An amount of Rs 500 would be charged to transport the COVID dead from GMC to Panaji for cremation and CCP charges Rs 100 for issue of NOC.
Considering the current COVID crisis prevailing in the state. CCP has decided to waive the additional amount of Rs 1000 which was charged for those bodies other than that of Panaji City residents. The rates will be Rs 100.
An amount of Rs 2,800 is charged towards wood cost and is payable to the managing committee of the Hindu Crematorium. The CCP reported that other than the above mentioned amount. No amount should be paid to anyone. CCP workers are not supposed to shift or handle any COVID bodies at the crematorium.
CCP has also informed that proper documents will be needed for cremation i.e. doctors certifying death slip in Original, Aadhar Card or any other Government ID card. For more details one can call OSD to Mayor John Rodrigues No. 9822125599.
