Panaji: Even as there is no clarity by when Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who is currently undergoing treatment at AIIMS, will return to Goa; his colleague Minister for Panchayat Mauvin Godinho said that a cabinet meeting is likely to take place within a week to clear pending proposals.
Talking to reporters, Godinho said that cabinet meeting will be held within a week. ‘Cabinet meeting will take place as soon as within a weeks time not after that,” he said.
Minister informed two of his department proposals with regards to 50 percent hike in salaries of sarpanch, deputy sarpanch, panch, Zilla panchayat member will be placed before cabinet.
” Also proposal with regards to increase in infrastructure fund to panchayat for construction of panchayat ghar from Rs 2 crore to Rs 3.40 crore, will be also cleared by the cabinet during the meeting,” he said.
However, there is no clarity whether the meeting will be via a circulation or will CM chair it.
The last cabinet meeting chaired by Parrikar was held in the month of July.
