It’s a proud moment for Goans as Lenny D’Gamma is selected as the only Asian Evaluator in the Olympics which are set to be held in Tokyo from 14th July to 15 August. Lenny D’ Gama is represented as a neutral International Technical Official (ITO).
Lenny has been Member of AIBA RJs Committee, Boxing Federation of India Chairman – Technical and rules Commission., Vice President of Goa Boxing Association and Vice President of Goa Olympic Association. He has been awarded best ITO of Asia 2018.
Lenny whole speaking to Goa News Hub said “Boxing is oldest sport, it is good for fitness, self defence and builds self discipline”
He said Boxing makes you a master of your emotions and builds self discipline, “When you are in the boxing ring you are taught to keep your emotions aside and learn your opponents moves, if you lose your temper you might let your guard down and expose yourself and eventually lose” he added.
“Boxing is like playing Chess, you need to be a tactician, your strategy needs to be carefully planned to win the Game” Lenny asserted.
For Lenny Boxing has been a passion since childhood. Unfortunately Sports Minister Manohar (Babu) Azgaonkar seems to be unaware about the achievement of Lenny however in the sports minister’s absence CM has extended support to him . “CM Sawant has extended his support and is willing to provide us help” said Lenny
