BJP is revealing half truth about meeting with PM: Chodankar

Panaji: Goa Congress chief Girish Chodankar on Thursday alleged that BJP was disclosing half truth about meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with mining dependents and Goa lawmakers.
PM had met lawmakers of Goa including all the three members of parliament and leaders of Goa Mining People’s Front in Delhi on Wednesday.
Addressing a gathering during an event to felicitate former Goa CM Pratapsinh Rane on his 80th Birthday on Thursday, chodankar alleged that BJP was revealing only half truth about their meeting with CM.
“We are only selectively told that PM said ‘Mai Dekh lunga’ but not told the entire conversation which was against resumption of mining industry,” he said.
Chodankar alleged that BJP was trying to fool the people of the state.  “People are hurt and they are waiting for resumption of mining. bjp has been just bargaining for time since last one year,” he said pointing out that exactly a year back Supreme Court had quashed 88 mining leases bringing to halt the entire industry.
