Halima.. The name itself means patience. A true artists weapon. Without patience theres no perfection.
Started with a passion in art and creativity, halima got attracted to intricate designs since childhood. So much, that her handwriting during primary school was as fine as anybody could imagine.
Halima Khan Nizami is a luxury mehendi artist who has been in the field for almost a decade with a long list of clientele that range from local to national to international, who all seem to be pleased with the quality and uniqueness of her art. She dedicated herself to create art not on canvas but on beautiful brides, adorning their hands n feet.
Initially she used to love to experiment with mehendi designs trying out on friends and family members, some of who encouraged her to start it professionally. She began to take orders from close friends and their references, which all seemed to work out well and got her work famous locally. The big break was when she got a deal for destination wedding which turned out to be a great success. This motivated her to work on a bigger scale, hence there was no turning back.As time flew , her clientele grew and so did her work load and with that her fame!
She says, “there have been families who have booked me for bridal mehendi for every wedding they had in the family” .
It doesn’t stop here, as she always was fascinated by the bridal makeup looks of her clients, she thought to add more feathers to her wings. She further studied various makeup techniques from MSTC International Academy and upgraded her skills from various renowned international artists including Mary Phillips (Hollywood celebrity MUA) . This also gave her opportunity to work with celebrities at the weddings. She has won hearts of the people with her designer skills and her down to earth personality.
As easy as it sounds, it wasn’t so. She had to face troubles of her own. She says “travelling was a bit of an issue for me in the beginning as i didn’t drive then, financially also it was difficult as i could not invest much into buying the products, i couldn’t do any savings , what i earned i spent on my products more . Also there was one major problem , that is coming home late (global girls issue). This often worried my parents and there was always the “log kya kahenge” factor to it. “The society as usual points out on girls reaching home late from work, unaware of the hustles and struggles she goes through. Although the log kya kahenge factor has become a norm, but rising above that , Halima did not let it stop her and neither did her family. Getting married at proper age was also important to her as she is the only daughter. Budding into new phase of life came with more challenges as it doubled up the responsibilities. With her strong determination and focused aim she has tried time and time again to manage her personal and professional life. Her biggest strength Her parents stood by her as pillars, and is also fortunate to have an understanding husband who never stopped her from doing what she wants to do.

Being from a middle class family, looking after own expenses , creating a name in the industry, getting married at a proper age, whilst taking care of the personal and family responsibilities , breaking the barriers of the society limits, Halima has managed to achieve her goals till date and is working hard towards a shining future ahead. She never was interested in a 9 to 5 job and happily acclaims of her achievements as an independent artist today.
Today Halima is a proud entrepreneur and operates under the name of Nizami Makeovers and has a team of artists working with her who have been trained under her guidance. She has been successful with 500+ clients which includes renowned families from various parts of the country and globally. Among her distinguished clients are The Rane family (minister of Goa), Alka Yagnik, Neha Sareen, The Shroff family (Adv. Delhi) , and the list goes on. She believes in quality work and delivers the best. Being a strong women herself passing a message to everyone who has dreams for themselves she says, “never stop dreaming and work towards that dream, give your hundred percent to that and never give up, believe in yourself and keep moving towards the goals.”
