Panaji: After Suleman Siddiqui Khan claimed that the second video was fake, AAP Goa President Amit Palekar has demanded the suspension of SP Crime Branch Rahul Gupta and DySP Suraj Halarnkar.
Palekar tweeted: “Truth can be suppressed for some time, but it cannot be buried forever. Suleman Siddiqui’s statement to the media, claiming that the second video was shot at gunpoint and under electrocution, should be investigated by an independent agency. This statement alone is reason enough to suspend SP Crime Rahul Gupta and DySP Suraj Halarnkar.”
He further stated, “We @AAPGoa demand that @DGP_Goa and @Goa_Police should immediately take action against the said officers named by him in his statement and also make the findings of the inquiry into his escape public, as he has stated that the first video was accurate. The land grab scam is required to be investigated by @CBIHeadquarters as the conduct of Goa Police is dubious and seems to be influenced by @BJP4Goa.”
