Panaji: The Goa government on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Vibrant Goa Foundation for the organization of the “Amazing Goa Global Business Summit” scheduled to be held in November, this year.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, State Industries Minister Mauvin Godinho and former union Minister Suresh Prabhu, and representatives of various business organizations.
Addressing the meeting, Sawant said that the “Amazing Goa Global Business Summit” promises to be a significant platform for fostering joint ventures, collaborations, and international trade opportunities for MSMEs and other businesses.
The chief minister said that the summit will emphasize sustainability and inclusivity by engaging self-help groups, startups, and the youth, aligning perfectly with the principles of Swayampurna Goa.
Sawant expressed confidence that the Amazing Goa Global Business Summit, scheduled for November 2024, will play a pivotal role in promoting economic growth, generating employment, and enhancing Goa’s reputation as a prime business destination.
He also said that It is heartening to see the full support of all major business associations in Goa, including Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), Goa State Industries Association (GSIA), Business Network of India (BNI), ASSOCHAM and otherswho are collaborating closely with the Foundation to ensure the success of this event and strongly encouraged Goan businesses, particularly MSMEs, to register promptly to take full advantage of the valuable opportunities this summit offers.
Sawant siad that the Government of Goa is fully committed to supporting this initiative, which is in harmony with our drive for Swayampurna Goa and our Prime Minister’s vision of a Vikasit Bharat.
