Agassaim: In what seems to be a new low for the law enforcement authorities, Agassaim police on September 01 night made a complainant wait for two hours, before finally inwarding his complainant, The police were trying to protect a person against whom the complaint was lodged, and finally accepted the copy, only when complainant refused to budge.
The incident occured at around 10 p.m. on September 01 when one Jitendra Mangueshkar, resident of Palem-Siridao went to  Agassaim  Police station along with his Lawyer to file complaint against one Mr. Francis Lobo and two others for trespassing in his house and abusing him with filthy words and threatening to kill him and his family over the issue of sluice gate (manas).
The complainant told www.goanewshub.com that  the policeman on duty Mr. Gadkar refused to take the complainant for entry for the reasons best known to him. On further enquiry he told the complainant that PI Uday Parab had instructed him to not to take any complainant against Mr. Lobo.
After persistently requesting the police he told the complainant to get his property papers .” This is absurd, just to take a complainant inward you don’t require property papers, that is part of investigation which can be done later, and police should have taken the complaint on record.
“We were not asking to arrest Mr. Francis Lobo there and then but we were just requesting the police to take the complainant on record. We were under threat, I have minor children, my wife and aged mother at home, and if in such a situation I don’t approach the police then who else should I approach,” asked the complainant.
After 2 hours the Police took the complaint on record with an endorsement that action will be taken after verifying property documents, that too after we calling the Dy.SP.
