60 per cent people voted in Goa till 3 pm

Panaji: More than 60 per cent people voted till 3 pm during the ongoing polling for Goa Legislative Assembly.

 

 

 

The voting for all the 40 seats of Goa Legislative Assembly is held on Monday.

 

 

 

As per the data available from Election Commission of India, 60.18 per cent of the people had casted their vote by 3 pm with maximum voting, that is 70 per cent reported from Sankhalim Assembly constituency.

 

 

 

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant represents Sankhalim assembly constituency, where he is currently contesting on BJP symbol.

 

 

 

Sanguem assembly constituency had polled 69.47 per cent voting till 3 pm followed by 66.58 per cent in Quepem.

 

 

 

Interestingly, the closely fought constituency of Panaji witnessed low turn out with only 55.10 per cent people voting till 3 pm. The lowest percentage of voting was reported at Sanvordem with 53.38 per cent people turning to vote till 3 pm.
