Panaji: Total 560 foreigners were flown to Paris and Frankfurt through two different flights from Goa airport on Wednesday as the state witnessed the lockdown.
Airport Authority of India’s Goa Airport tweeted on Wednesday evening “9th relief flight takes off for Paris with 246 passengers and two infants through Qatar air. Today 3rd relief flight from Goa airport.”
The airport authority has said that in all 1831 adults and 14 infants are sent home till date.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday morning, 8th relief flight from Goa airport took off to Frankfurt via Mumbai with 314 passeners by Chartered Air India flight.
Goa’s apex body in tourism industry, Travel and Tours Association of Goa (TTAG) had said that between 1,500 to 2,000 foreigners were stranded in the beach destination, who were being evacuated through different flights.
