Panaji: Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant has said that 5,000 youth who would register on the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) will directly join the State government departments by July 15, 2023.
Addressing an online event on Saturday, the chief minister said that the central government has been focusing on skilling, re-skilling and up-skilling youth.
He said that 5,000 youth registered on National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme Portal will directly join as apprentices at the state government departments by July 15, 2023.
The chief minister said that only 1,200 youth have registered on the portal as of now and appealed others to take the benefit of this opportunity.
He said that the opportunities are available for the jobs like Data Entry, Accountant, Driver, Cleaner and others.
The chief minister said that the panchayat members and municipal councilors should take over the work of registering the youth on the NAPS.
