4th Anti-Tobacco Film Festival invites entries

Panaji : Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) in association with Department of Public Health Dentistry, Goa Dental College and Hospital is organizing the 4th Goa Anti-Tobacco Film Festival on May 31.

According to ESG, the aim of this festival is to select Ad films to spread the message of harmful effects of tobacco use and its ill effects, to decrease the occurrence of oral cancer and heart disease and to promote film art through non-profit screening of these films. The ultimate objective being to render Goa smoke free. This festival will be held in two sections, ad films of not more than 2 minutes in Goa and national sections. The theme for the festival is ‘Commit to Quit’.

The criteria for application is that  Goan sections will have ad films in Konkani, Marathi, Hindi or English and should be produced by Goan producers/production houses, individuals, students studying in Goa and educational and social institutions only. The national section films should be in Hindi or English only and produced by an Indian producer/production houses, individuals, students and educational and social institutions from India only.
Eligible persons may register by filling the registration form available on www.esg.co.in and www.iffigoa.org latest by April 19. Last date for receipt of film entries is May 17.
