Panaji: Goa TMC leader Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco today rubbished all rumours about him being in talks with his former party Congress.
He said, ‘All such rumours are absolutely baseless. I am sticking with Goa TMC. I am sticking with my commitment to the people of my constituency. Like I said before, the only reason why I left Congress was that I wanted to work for my people. I wasn’t being allowed to do that. That is why I aligned myself with a party that has the intention and determination to oust the BJP and work for the welfare of Goenkars. I reaffirm my allegiance to TMC. All rumours are baseless.’
The comment was made post Goa TMC’s mega event at the International Centre Goa where the party launched its third promise, ‘Mhaje Ghar, Maalki Hakk’ which is a landmark housing scheme that aims to benefit over 60% of Goenkars. Soon after the press conference, Reginaldo added, ‘I have been fighting for the prosperity of Goa since 2007 and this fight continues till date. Everything I have done is in the interest of the people. Don’t take social media rumours seriously.’
