Calangute police in continuation of their rescue operations have rescued 03 minor girls from Baga beach on 17/10/2018.
As per PI Jivba Dalvi information was received about 03 minor girls roaming on Calangute beach during the night time at around 08:00 pm. Accordingly staff was directed and they were rescued from the beach. Their statement was recorded in the presence of a NGO member and no any immediate parents or lawful guardian could be traced.
PI Dalvi informed that mostly the minor children moving on the beaches are vulnerable and may be exploited by criminals or anti-social elements.
All the 03 minor girls have been lodged in Apna Ghar for safe custody and protection after obtaining orders from the Child Welfare Committee.
The rescued minor girls are of age 13, 12 and 10 years respectively.
