Panaji: The construction of third bridge over River Mandovi will be completed by December 31, this year, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar told House on Wednesday.
“As per the information given by GSIDC, the project related to the construction of 03rd Mandovi Bridge including approaches is expected to be completed by 31/12/2018,” Parrikar said replying to a question by Leader of Opposition Chandrakant Kavlekar.
Parrikar said that the delay in execution of the works as per initial plan has been caused due to certain orders of the courts and pending investigation.
He further informed House that the total cost approved for the project is Rs. 517.00 crores and as on July 3,, an amount of Rs. 387.23 crores has been spent. The revision in cost, due to certain additional works is being worked out, Parrikar added.
