Panaji: With the induction of new faces, Shiv Sena in Goa has now decided to take up campaign against gambling in the State. This was announced after inducting social worker Shreha Dhargalkar as Mahila Aghadi Chief of Goa.

Addressing her first ever press conference, Dhargalkar, who belongs to Siolim constituency, spelled out her priorities which included tirade against matka and gambling in the state.

The new face of mahila is likely to give further boost to Shiv Sena.

Sena’s Goa President Jitesh Kamat lambasted Goa government on several fronts during the press conference.

“Goa Government can only give speeches on self employment but in reality it has totally failed to provide self employment opportunities to Goan youths,” he said.

He declared that Sena will start drive on self employment.

“Goan Markets as well as industries have gone in the hands of non Goans. Mining and Taxi were only businesses left for Goans,  there too government , boasting of Goemkarpon ,is planning conspiracy of giving it to corporates from outside Goa,” he said.

Some companies are having vendor development section but Goan youths are not well informed. As a part of self employment campaign Shiv Sena will approach various companies, collect data of requirement of venders and aspirant youths will be given opportunities says Kamat.

He has urged youths to enroll with Shiv Sena. Government too has outsourced most of the self employment opportunities to other state companies including canteen, laundry, medical stores in GMC, Hotel & Premises of GTDC are given on PPP and many more in other departments. Government shall terminate all such contracts and Goan youth be given opportunity to set up their own businesses.

General Secretary Milind Gauns was revealed that all the contracts in Irrigation Department, Water Resources Dept, PWD,  GSIDC etc are taken over by Non Goans. If Goan contractors are neglected for non Goans for any of the works than Shiv Sena will even go to the extent to stop it, warns Gains.  Further he has demanded to come out with a scheme to allot direct contracts to newly passed Engineers.

Goa Mahila Coordinator Ria Patil, General Secretary Milind Gauns, Secretary Amol Prabhugaokar, Mandar Parsekar, Vandana Chavan ,Voter Survey Coordinator Zygal Lobo, Rajani Veluskar, Yuva Sanghtak Chetan Pednekar, Secretary Irfan Khan, North District Pramukh Kishor Rao were present for the PC.
