Panaji: We will consider the candidates who work for people in municipal elections, Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat said on Friday stating if government decides we will contest on party lines.
Addressing reporters Kamat said, “I am not ruling out alliance for seat sharing with vijai Sardesai in municipal election. We are ready to face even assembly elections in next one month.”
Talking about the developments in Margao Kamat said, “Have solved the water problem and power problem in Margao. Tender for six lane bridge replacing present two lane at Rawanfond will be floated in next 20 days. Cyclone relief shelter homes by Central government near Bal Bhavan, Aquem costing four crores is underway.”
“No discussions yet at party level regarding municipal elections. If people want than my son will contest municipal elections,” Kamat added.
