Panaji: AAP Goa President Amit Palekar on Tuesday questioned why the second video, alleged to have been made under coercion by accused Siddiqui, is not being probed.
Palekar wrote on his X handle: “Why is the second video, alleged to be made under coercion by accused Siddiqui, not being probed @DGP_Goa, @spnorthgoa, and @Goa_Police when I was investigated for 2 days with respect to the first video? Why different rules for me and for your colleagues?”
“I demand, as a citizen having equality before the law, to probe the source of the second video. I also demand that the tower locations of the entire CB team be investigated from 17/12/2024 till 23/12/2024, when he was brought to Goa, which coincided with the release of the said video to the media.”
“Who released the same? Smartly, the video was circulated within the team to show as forwarded. Is the department competent to find the source? There should be a logical conclusion to the investigation. While a few officers were against the making of the video, some PIs and a particular DySP were very keen and happy to make fake videos. Nothing remains hidden in our tiny blessed Goa. Not when the police themselves turn criminals.”
