Valpoi: Cashing on the Mahadayi river flowing with its full gusto during the monsoons, Goa Tourism Development Corporation has decided to resume its ‘white water rafting’ near Valpoi in next fortnight.

“The white water rafting on Mahadeyi river would start in a fortnight with additional attractions like personalised videos that would be provided to the rafter recording their experience,” a senior GTDC official said.

He said that the rafting on Mahadeyi river is held between June to September this year.

“This year, the white river rafting experience promises to be different as Goa Tourism has tied up with a top adventure sports video company in the country to capture  rafting experience through a personalized video, which would be shared via WhatsApp or Google Drive the same day,” he said.

As many as seven rafts will be put into operation. The exciting trips run for 10 km each, stirring and elating you, along the breath-taking landscapes. The big and bouncy River Mahadeyi ensures a fun-filled trip for you, your family and friends,” the official said.

“Goa has always been one of the best Indian destinations for relaxation offering a plethora of water sport activities. Out of the numerous ones available, navigating the rapids of the River through our river rafting activity has been gaining immense popularity among tourists,” he said.
