Panaji: Fatorda police today busted a major conspiracy in Goa Forward Party President Vijai Sardesai’s doctored video case. Three people including an official with Indus Ind Bank Raghuvir Shirodkar are summoned for questioning tomorrow at 9 a.m. at Fatorda police station.

The summons have been issued to three people including Shirodkar, Sushant Naik, a professor in Fr Agnel College and Aditya Naik, a lawyer, to remain present before Fatorda police tomorrow, said police inspector Navlesh Dessai.

Goa Forward Party’s Vice President Durgadas Kamat had filed a police complaint with Cyber Crime cell and also with Fatorda police station after doctored video of Sardesai was being made viral through social media.

Police after initial investigations have summoned three people who would be questioned in connection with the inquiry. “We will be questioning them and then only we will get more details about this conspiracy,” he said.

Kamat in his complaint had said that entire shooting of the video and its circulation has been to defame the minister and stop him from undertaking the  developmental and social work. It is also to stop him from doing his duty as a minister.

“We request your good self to investigate into the source of this video and interrogate the person for his or her anti-social activities and anti-national activities by indulging into the act of defaming the minister unnecessarily,” he had said.

“The case should be booked under relevant section of cyber crime. We are ready to provide the viral video which has come to us through different sources and the mobile numbers which have circulated the edited malicious clips,” the complaint had said.
