Panaji: The organizers of Sunburn festival have said that they are not “disturbed or upset” with the State government’s decision to withdraw permission granted to them to host the event in December as they completely agree that chances cannot be taken on covid-19 front.
Chairman and Managing Director of Percept Live, the host for Sunburn, said that it was good that the festival was pulled out at this juncture before the participants book the tickets or hotel arrangements.
“We are not surprised or upset with the decision of the state tourism department to withdraw the permission. We had announced, anyways, that we would be reviewing the situation in December before going ahead with the festival,” he said.
Singh said that no chances can be taken at this juncture when COVID-19 positive cases are still reported in the country.
He said that the event can be rescheduled in February or March next year, depending upon the pandemic situation in the country.
