Margao: Vijai Sardesai, Goa Forward MLA from Fatorda, on Friday kicked off his door to door visit from ward no – 6 at Amrutnagar, ahead of assembly election 2022.
LED screen on wheels displaying the works of Vijai Sardesai was also moving around the Amrutnagar area. His supporters, councilors and others were present on the occasion.
Sardesai told people of Amrutnagar that he believes in ‘development by consent’ and hence the same mantra has been followed all these years. “I don’t want to impose any development which is unwanted. Hence, I believe in taking people in confidence and discussing the same. We are exercising the same in Fatorda and want to take this model across Goa.” He said.
GFP President Sardesai said that the BJP government has looted and cheated people of Goa on various issues. “BJP compromised our Mhadei for political gains. It has failed to provide potable water to many areas.” Sardesai said.
He said that ‘Future Read Fatorda’ will help children and youths of Fatorda, who will get all the facilities and benefits out of it. “We need to give good facilities to our children, be it in educational or sports areas. We need to encourage them in every field.” He said.
“Time will come, when other constituencies will follow the model of Fatorda and we will take it forward to make progress in Goa.” He said.
