Panaji: Considering the impending Code of Conduct due to Panchayat election, upcoming Goa Legislative Assembly Session may be curtailed.
Sources close to the legislature department have said that the proposal to curtail the Assembly Session is likely to be placed before the Business Advisory Committee.
The code of conduct for the panchayat election will start from July 20, if the polls are held on August 10. In such circumstances, the Business of the the Assembly may have to be curtailed.
The opposition parties were waiting for a month long
Assembly session. This would be the first full fledged Session after Pramod Sawant led cabinet was sworn in after 2022 polls.
