Union Minister Shripad Naik discharged from GMCH

Bambolim: Union AYUSH Minister Shripad Naik on Wednesday was discharged from Goa Medical College and Hospital after his one and half month treatment.

Naik was admitted to GMCH on January 12 after he suffered a major accident which had his wife and another aide succumbing to the injuries.

The minister was discharged on Wednesday afternoon after he was declared fit for it by the panel of doctors.

GMCH Dean Dr Shivanand Bandekar said that Naik is fit for discharged as he can continue taking treatment from his home.

Talking from the hospital bed, Naik said that he plans to attend the upcoming Session of the Parliament, if doctors advice for the same.

“I will attend the session of Parliament depending on the advice of the doctors,” he said adding that he has been watching the last session on television from his hospital bed.

Naik said that despite being hospitalized, he has been working and has signed the papers which were required to be tabled on the floor of the House.
