Vasco: Joseph Fernandes and his Angelo Avileli were arrested by Vasco police on Tuesday for hurting religious sentiment, abusing and threatening people from their ward on Saturday.
According to a Vaddem local, Shrijeet Kavlekar, had put up an arch in front of a temple to celebrate its anniversary. Fernandes damaged the arch and threatened the ward residents.
Locals alleged that Fernandes has been often harassing residents in the locality but this time he crossed the line as he hurt their religious sentiments, which led them to summon the police.
