Panaji: A day before CM Pramod Sawant announced the four-day-long lockdown, www.goanewhub.com conducted an online poll on whether the state should go for lockdown or not.

The survey was held over 24 hours on Monday-Tuesday on our official Twitter and Instagram handles. The response was encouraging and also the results.

To start with, on Instagram page, 523 people reacted saying that there should be a lockdown while 131 felt it should not have been there.

The comments were really talking. The insta user @_mr.bu_ supporting the lockdown said “let them get the habit of sitting at home. If the government keeps playing around, people wont take this pandemic seriously.”

Another user @im_eternal_sunshine said “It’s always better to be safe than sorry.”

There are total 69 comments and I would request you to visit our Instagram profile and also follow us to read the comments in detail.

The poll on twitter had 620 people participating in it. 74 per cent said Yes and 21 per cent said No. That was not enough, 5 per cent said don’t know.

A short lockdown was finally announced by the Chief minister on Wednesday. We are optimistic that this decision of the government will finally break the chain. This can happen provided each of us, are ready to stay back home and not show our bravado, unnecessarily.

Stay Home! Stay Safe!
