PANAJI: The Thivim Karate Dojo established its regional supremacy at the conclusion of the SKJFI National Tournament, securing a total of 25 medals: 8 Gold, 9 Silver, and 8 Bronze. Held on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium in Navelim, Margao, the event featured a competitive field of over 300 athletes representing multiple Indian states.
Demonstrating exemplary technical proficiency and tactical discipline, the Goan representatives excelled throughout the event. Multi-medal honours went to Mahaj Vinayak Porob, Ehaan Virendra Kamat, Shreyaan Bude, Nishant Malgi, Grace Panchara, and Meryl Fernandes, who each earned Gold medals in addition to other podium finishes. Furthermore, Adriel Fernandes and Aryan Shinde distinguished themselves by winning Gold medals in their respective divisions.
Contributing significantly to the academy’s collective score, Aarav Puranik, Franzer Desousa, and Hitanshi Jayant successfully secured both Silver and Bronze medals. Navneet Toraskar delivered a commendable performance to finish with two Silver medals, while Chandani Bodke concluded her events with a Silver medal. The delegation’s successful campaign concluded with determined performances by Vihaan Wadkar and Sidisha Redkar, who both claimed Bronze medals.
This overwhelming success reflects the rigorous athletic standards fostered within the local community. The competitive squad was trained under the direct guidance of Sandesh Santosh Kolikar (Black Belt 3rd Dan), Coach of Thivim IJKAI Dojo, alongside the guidance of Mahendra Naik, Chief Instructor of IJKAI-Goa.
